Super Bowl XLIX is here, and we’re ready to kick off the weekend with some recipes, crafts, and activities to make sure you have the best sports theme party on the block this weekend, Jan. 30 – Feb. 1.
If you’re anything like me, you’re more excited about the Super Bowl commercials than you are the actual game. Create a friendly household rivalry with Super Bowl Commercial Bingo with team colored markers.

Need something to put your snacks in? DIY paper cones that look like footballs are a simple, fun way to get into the big game spirit no matter what team you’re rooting for! You can fill them with fun snacks: popcorn, pretzels, anything you’d like!

Of course, you’ll need something to wash down your yummy snacks with, so continue showing your team spirit, and make mocktails for the family. Root for the New England Patriots with a red and blue sipper or the Seattle Seahawks with a blue and green libation.

Chips and dips will be at any party you attend this Sunday, so bring a dessert instead! These Frozen Footballs may not be the easiest dish, but between making the ice cream and melting the chocolate there are plenty of great learning opportunities in this recipe. Don’t have any pastry bags for decorating? Don’t sweat. Pour the white chocolate into a small Ziploc bag, and clip the corner.
If you like the idea of bringing a dessert, but don’t have time, you can decorate ice cream sandwiches.
